Laser Rejuvenation Q & A
What is laser rejuvenation?
Laser rejuvenation is a treatment that reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while promoting a smooth, flawless complexion.
The Halo delivers both ablative and nonablative wavelengths to the same treatment zone, in concentrated pulsating beams, to produce maximum results with minimal downtime.
This is a noninvasive treatment that Dr. Albaugh can customize to your skin. A light treatment creates smooth, flawless skin that’s makeup-ready within 24 hours. A more intense treatment provides dramatic results with just a few days of downtime.
Which skin problems does laser rejuvenation target?
The Halo laser targets imperfections in your skin that have accumulated over the years. Some of the skin problems it treats include:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Hyperpigmentation
- Brown spots
- Acne scars
- Light scars
- Actinic keratoses
- Large pores
- Sun damage
- Uneven skin tone
- Poor texture
- Overall discoloration
Not only is Halo effective on all skin types, but it can also be used nearly anywhere on the body, including your face, neck, chest, arms, hands, and legs.
What can I expect from my laser rejuvenation treatment?
Thanks to Halo’s ablative and nonablative technology, you get the best of both worlds from a single treatment.
The laser quickly repairs years’ worth of skin damage without the lengthy downtime of previous models, which use older technology. This means your face is left flawless just a few days after your first session.
After an initial consultation with Dr. Albaugh, during which time he designs your customized treatment plan, you return to the office for your first laser rejuvenation session.
First, Dr. Albaugh applies a numbing cream to your skin to make the treatment as comfortable as possible.
Next, he targets your unique skin problems with the Halo laser, a treatment that takes anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours. Throughout the session, Dr. Albaugh provides an intermittent cooling treatment to ease any discomfort you may experience.
It’s normal to experience redness, inflammation, itching, and acne, but these side effects should subside within a few days. To promote a healthy recovery, make sure to avoid sun exposure whenever possible and avoid intense exercise.
It only takes one to two laser rejuvenation treatments to see dramatic results within the first three months. To find out if Halo laser skin resurfacing is right for you, call Visage Ventura Medi-Spa or schedule an appointment online.
